Keeping an eye on the Regional Armada Tournaments
I've continued gathering data on the Armada Regionals and have been posting the results on a Google Spreadsheet. Take a look at this link.
The Imperials have continued their overall domination of the events having won 8 of the 10 where we know the results! Most of the Imperial wins seem dominated by Admiral Motti, Major Rhymer, and the Demolisher. It has been impressive.

Two things really stand out for me. Demolisher and Rhymer.
ReplyDeleteEspecially Demo. Borderline broken IMO...but hopefully Flotillas will help counter this with cheap blockers that can ignore his damage.

ReplyDeleteI welcome any suggestions mate as engine tech demo seems to go where he wants and 9/10 deletes something off the board of mine. You don't even need to get anything through the shields with black dice. Just use the triple tap APT for 3 hull damage and then ram 3 times (engines techs) and that's a dead AF.
ReplyDeleteSorry don't mean to harp on or hijack the comments...its just that Rhymer and Demo are basically almost auto includes in an Imp list. Anything that is autoinclude screams OP to me. I for one can't wait for flotillas to help counter Demo....but I welcome suggestions to counter him ☺

ReplyDeleteDemo is showing up in a lot of the winning lists. As is Rhymer.
I think mine (NY Regional) is the only winning Imperial list that doesn't have Demo or Rhymer (and yes, I did try to show that one can be competitive without them)

ReplyDeleteI think that Demo is a no brainer, if you are taking GSDs. And you should be taking GSDs as they are awesome. I am less convinced that Rhymer is a no brainer - unless you are choosing to go squadron heavy. Which require a lot of babysitting for my taste.
