Video - Making the most of Gun Lines

It's been snowy weather around here and as I am a teacher, that's meant a couple of snow days.  This gave me the chance to put together another tactics video.  This time I share some of my experiences with using Rebel Gun Lines.

Apparently I had a lot to ay as this video logs in a few minutes longer than my first two.

As always, give it a watch and let me know what you think!

So, what do you think?

Do you use gun line tactics?

Imperial players, will you use them with the Arquitens?

Do you find them easily countered as an opponent?

Did I miss anything obvious?

Was the video helpful?

  1. Thanks for posting these videos I have been enjoying watching them.

As a Rebel player I have used a gun liner couple of times to break up my friends Imperial Star Destroyer echelon formation, with some success!

One thing that I have a lot of trouble with, and which would be good to see a video on, is the use of the squadron command. I have never managed to have a Squadron command dial come up at the same time as I would actually want to use one and although I use a lot of squadrons in my games I never use Squadron commands.

    Keep up the good work!

    1. I've been moving away from using squadron commands with my gun line and using resilient X-Wings to counter attack when squads attack me. That being said, when I do use squadron commands they have been from a flotilla near my gunline.

    2. Fair enough... I've always used X-Wings the same way, just lay them in wait and wait for a Star Destroyer to run into them and launch proton torpedoes!

  4. Have you tried using Sato with the gun line? Especially with an MC30 and APT or ACM. Jan and a couple A-Wings or Tycho would work for squads. At long range 4 black dice(or 5 or 6 with concentrate fire)? Ouch.

    1. I haven't yet, but I do think Sato has some great potential.
